EmbracePersecution
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
Matthew 5:11
Many people fear any kind of persecution (bullying, intimidation, ridicule, teasing, etc..) and avoid it as much as possible, it's counter-intuitive to embrace it. But when it comes to suffering persecution for Christ, it shouldn't be looked at as fully negative. The act itself is negative, but the outcome is immeasurable.
Sound strange?
Jesus gave us all a warning; as Christians we should expect to be persecuted for our beliefs. Jesus said...
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
Matthew 5:11
We need to stop running from our promised persecution, we need to embrace it. We have to stop living for this world, this is not what we are meant for. The greatest mistake a Christian ever makes is living for the ephemeral rather than the eternal.
Persecution is a badge of honor, placed on us by Jesus, so just accept it because of the second part of that promise...
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven...
Matthew 5:12
We are blessed...because of Me...we are the Persecuted!
